 MATT CLARKSON

Matt Clarkson is an attorney with a keen interest in employment litigation, civil rights claims, and personal injury cases. He is passionate in pursuing justice for clients and holding institutions accountable for causing harm to the public.

Matt graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School, magna cum laude. While in school, he served as President of the Public Interest Law Project, which raises thousands of dollars each year to support aspiring public interest attorneys. He also worked as a Lead Article Editor for the Lewis Clark Law Review.

Matt believes that the jury trial is the foundation of justice in this country. When he’s not actively working a case, he is busy learning everything he can about the art of trial advocacy. In his first year of practice, he second-chaired two trials, and he looks forward to gaining more experience in the future.

Before becoming an attorney, Matt spent eight years as a whitewater raft guide and “ski bum” with a home base in Colorado. He spent his last summer before law school working on the beautiful Rogue River in Southern Oregon, and he returns there as often as he can. When he’s not out exploring the Pacific Northwest, he spends time with his partner, Sophia, and their two rambunctious cats, Jolene and Rhiannon.
